The bottom line

The concepts described above are the most fundamental elements of accounting and of what QuickBooks does.  When you understand them, you will see where QuickBooks is going, and why.  If you do not understand them, you may find yourself fighting the program.  You could be calling Technical Support, asking how to get QuickBooks to do something that it cannot do and that no accounting program should do.  The program is designed to do correct accounting, and easily does what it is intended to do.
