This chapter and the previous chapter cover similar actions in different operating systems.  They present a few minimum, essential steps for working within these systems, plus some bits of useful but rarely-published information to boost your efficiency.  Should anyone read both chapters, extensive similarities will be seen, as well as differences.  A few of the illustrations here do not look right, because they are from Windows 95.  The legends are the same in Windows 3.1.
