Payments on multiple jobs
A customer may make one
payment applying to several
jobs. Such a payment cannot be
entered directly, in any QuickBooks version,
as of this writing. XE
"payments:multiple jobs" The
payment must be split up and entered as
separate payments on each of the jobs.
The apparent individual payments may be
joined in the Undeposited Funds
account, by selecting
Group with other undeposited funds.
Then Make Deposits
(below) can be used to move the money as a single payment from
to the bank account. After the deposit is recorded, you may want to open the bank account register, and enter the payee name and a memo.
